Smooth, funny, and real: that’s Victor Sosa on the air, and he’s been delivering it since 1998. Radio was the only thing he ever wanted to do, so he majored in communications and walked into his campus radio station on day one of college. He’s since worked every shift there is, weekdays and weekends, plus stints as music director and program director across hip-hop, R&B, and adult contemporary. He’s helped throw concerts for crowds of more than 10,000 and traded stories with Alicia Keys, T.I., Charlie Wilson, and Kelly Clarkson.
Off the mic, the New York native is either working out or watching the stock market, and he co-hosts a podcast about pro wrestling. Home is shared with a cat named Prince, and he supports animal rescue and veterans’ organizations. His playlist runs from Luther Vandross and Bruno Mars to Karen Clark Sheard, Charlie Wilson, and Anderson .Paak, and Luther’s “Don’t You Know That?” never gets skipped. First concert? Public Enemy. And if your restaurant serves dumplings or mac ’n’ cheese big enough to be a meal, Victor is there.
