Former American Idol executive Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas Deluca, reportedly died of multiple gunshot wounds during their double murders earlier this year, according to death certificates obtained by PEOPLE.

The death certificates confirmed that Deluca died within seconds of being shot while Kay suffered for several minutes before succumbing to injuries sustained in the shooting. The couple was fatally shot on July 10, however, their official time of death is listed as July 14, the date when Los Angeles Police Department officers first discovered their bodies, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed to PEOPLE.

Autopsies were confirmed to have been performed on both victims, despite Kaye's July 23 death certificate initially claiming that one wasn't performed on her body. Kaye and Deluca, both 70, were allegedly murdered by a suspected burglar at their $4.5 million Encino home, according to police.

Raymond Boodarian, 22, was arrested on July 15, one day after the couple was found dead during a welfare check. Kaye had reportedly contacted the private security firm, the Bodyguard Group of Beverly Hills, amid fears for her safety in the weeks leading up to her death, the company's owner, Kris Herzog, told NBC Los Angeles.

“She felt threatened by somebody because of somebody around their home or around their neighborhood who felt suspicious,” Herzog said.

Detectives suspect that Boodarian burglarized the house while the couple was away on July 10 and stayed for about 30 minutes before they returned and found him. Police responded to a similar report of a burglary at the Encino home on the same afternoon, but claimed there were "no signs of forced entry or trouble" at the time.

“We didn’t hear anything,” said neighbor Amee Faggen. “My renter saw somebody hopping the fence, but that was back on Thursday. She called 911, but we didn’t hear anything since then, so we have no idea if it’s even related or not.”

Kaye served as American Idol's music supervisor between 2009 and 2023 during a career that included more than 40 music credits dating back to the late 1990s, according to CNN.
