Tommy Tuberville's Campaign Getting a Rally Hosted by President Trump

President Trump will be in Mobile in July days before voters will decide between former Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville and former Senator and U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions in a GOP runoff in the Alabama U.S. Senate race. The President will be encouraging voters in Sessions' home town to support Tuberville.

Trump has been vocal of his support for Tuberville for the nomination in spite of requests from Senator Shelby and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to not endorse a candidate.

Sessions has continued to show support for the President and has suggested on Twitter that Trump would be better off spending his time in states that the President would need to win to secure his reelection, and that Alabama wasn't one of those states.

The run-off winner will face Senator Doug Jones who defeated Justice Roy Moore in 2017 after Sessions vacated the seat.

The run-off in Alabama is July 14.
