Actor Peter-Henry Schroeder, best known for playing Klingon Chancellor in Star Trek: Enterprise, has died at the age of 90, according to an online memorial page.

Schroeder died peacefully while surrounded by his family at Lake City VA Medical Center in Florida on June 7, the website states.

”I had a long and rich life, and I thank God for it," Schroeder was quoted as saying.

The actor, who was born in Syracuse and spent 60 years living in Los Angeles, pursued acting after serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War for a unit that participated in a USO show in which Marilyn Monroe performed for the troops, having later released the song 'The Memory of Marylin' years later. Schroeder studied acting with Paula Strasberg, as well as Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight at Carnegie Hall before making his debut in The Seduction of Joe Tynan alongside Meryl Streep and Alan Alda in 1979.

Other roles included the films Fire in the Night, Hotshot, Journey to the Center of the Earth and Hider in the House, as well as the television shows B.J and the Bear and Thirtysomething, while also appearing in an episode of Cheers.

Schroeder's most notable role was playing Klingon Chancellor in a two-episode arc on Star Trek: Enterprise, a prequel to Star Trek: The Original Series, which aired from 2001 to 2005 and later played a producer in the Academy Award-winning film Argo directed, produced and starring Ben Affleck.
